This is a revised edition of the classical text on systemic thought. A total of 10 of the 22 chapters were completely rewritten, and the other 12 were revised. Über den Autor von Schlippe, Arist

Prof. Dr. phil. Arist von Schlippe, Diplom-Psychologe, Psychologischer Psychotherapeut, Familientherapeut und Familienpsychologe, hat den Lehrstuhl »Führung und Dynamik von Familienunternehmen« am Wittener Institut für Familienunternehmen der Universität Witten/Herdecke inne. Er ist Lehrtherapeut für systemische Therapie, Coach und Supervisor (SG). Prof. Dr. phil. Arist von Schlippe, graduate psychologist, holds the chair "Leadership and Dynamics of Family Businesses" at the Witten Institute for Family Business (WIFU) at the University of Witten/Herdecke and is a teaching therapist for systemic therapy, coach and supervisor (SG).

Prof. Dr. rer. soc. Jochen Schweitzer (1954-2022), Diplom-Psychologe, Psychologischer Psychotherapeut, Kinder- und Jugendlichentherapeut, leitete von 2005 bis 2022 die Sektion Medizinische Organisationspsychologie am Institut für Medizinische Psychologie des Universitätsklinikums Heidelberg. Ab 1979 war er als Familientherapeut in der Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie, Psychosomatik und Familientherapeutischer Ambulanz tätig. 1995 verschob sich der berufliche Schwerpunkt auf die Team- und Organisationsberatung im Gesundheits- und Sozialwesen. Bei den folgenden Projekten nahm Jochen Schweitzer eine führende Rolle ein: Mit-Gründung des Projekts SYMPAthische Psychiatrie (ab 1997), Mitherausgabe der Fachzeitschrift "Psychotherapie im Dialog" (ab 1999), Gründung des Helm Stierlin Instituts (2002). Verbandspolitisch war Jochen Schweitzer seit 1997 aktiv, u. a. von 2007 bis 2013 als erster Vorsitzender der DGSF. In diesen Rollen und als Forscher war er an der wissenschaftlichen und sozialrechtlichen Anerkennung der Systemischen Therapie im Gesundheitswesen wesentlich mitbeteiligt. Von seinen 25 Buchpublikationen ist das zweibändige »Lehrbuch der systemischen Therapie und Beratung«, das er gemeinsam mit Arist von Schlippe bei Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht veröffentlicht hat, hervorzuheben - seit 25 Jahren das Standardwerk im Bereich der Systemischen Therapie und Beratung.
