The goal of this research was to formulate a bionanocomposite with topical antiseptic capability. Lack of resources guided this research, and scientific banding and stamina saved the rest.It was noted that theses speaking only about bionanocomposites are rare, so this book can be a reference on chitosan itself, or on chitosan bionanocomposite hydrogels, functionalized with silver nitrate and stabilized with sodium hydroxide. It emphasizes the importance of supramolecular complexation of the chitosan particles, and comprises the reaction mechanism that occurs between the chitosan monomers and the acetic acid molecules in aqueous media, with a specific technique that makes it possible to obtain Nano chitosans.

Mehdia GANDI es profesora de la Universidad de Ciencia y Tecnología Houari Boumediene de Argel. Tiene un Máster Académico en Ingeniería de Procesos Farmacéuticos, obtenido en junio de 2017, y un Doctorado Teórico en el mismo campo obtenido en enero de 2021. Sufre una depresión crónica y tuvo un cáncer cerebral en 2017.
