Clemency Burton-Hill, MBE, is an award-winning broadcaster, podcaster, author, journalist and musician. As the host of BBC Radio 3's Breakfast Show she welcomed a new audience to classical music, and she presented both BBC Proms and Young Musician of the Year. Her journalism has appeared in the Economist, the Financial Times, Guardian, Observer and Independent. An award-winning violinist, Clemency has performed all over the world under leading conductors. She is the co-founder of Aurora Orchestra and a patron of the music and arts education charities The Choir of London Trust and Dramatic Need. She survived a life-altering brain haemorrhage in 2020, and campaigns to improve recovery for those affected by brain-injury. A native of London, UK, Clemency now lives in New York City and Washington, DC.
